Project BudBurst is a citizen science campaign: help observe the lives of plants Project BudBurst is a citizen science and education campaign for the study of the timing of life cycle events in plants as they relate to the environment. With your help, we can understand what "calendar" plants use to begin flowering, leafing or reproducing. Plants respond to their local climate and according to scientists the Earth is warming more quickly than it has in the past. Project BudBurst Mobile helps you collect information about the trees, shrubs, and grasses around you and to learn about how life is changing in response to a globally changing climate. Additionally, we are adding the game, Floracaching, to the BudBurst Mobile app, to make helping scientists even more fun! Visit http://Floracaching.org for more information. Project BudBurst Mobile is a partnership between the National Environmental Observatory Network (NEON; neoninc.org) and the Center for Embedded Networked Sensing (CENS; cens.ucla.edu) at UCLA. Please visit the Project BudBurst site for more information and to register!
