虽然僵尸还是那些慢吞吞的恶心无脑僵尸，不过和《植物大战僵尸》的塔防玩法不一样，在本作中，玩家手中的篮球并不可以发射弹药或者化作墙壁。在老爷子的院子里有个篮球框，玩家只需要划动屏幕篮球丢进框中就可以积累能量值，当能量值足够便可以将篮球换作炸弹、地雷、冰冻弹等等道具投掷到僵尸群中，造成大量伤害。

当然，篮球也可以直接击打僵尸，不过以篮球的硬度，那点伤害最多就只能击杀一些最低级的行尸了。但是当玩家往篮球框中连续投进了十个球，画面左上角的转盘奖励就会开启，临时获得譬如可以让僵尸着火的火焰篮球等效果加成。

游戏中的僵尸种类也异常丰富，除了最低级的无脑僵尸之外，还有会打伞防御篮球攻击的“淑女”僵尸，拿着菜刀横冲直撞的“奶奶”僵尸，每隔数关还有身形庞大皮厚血多的 BOSS 级别巨人僵尸，单靠一个小篮球和各种道具似乎也有些捉襟见肘。所以游戏中还会乱入各种奇怪而又强大的防御武器，比如不知道从哪里迷路搭乘 UFO 而来的外星人，喷吐着强劲火力的全自动机关枪等等特殊武器可以帮助玩家快速消灭僵尸。
